Not at all! To begin your musical journey, all you need at home is a basic electronic keyboard so you can practice your weekly patterns. As you progress through the early grades, I can help advise you on upgrading to a weighted digital piano with sustain pedal when the time is right.
-
Lessons are tailored for young beginners (ages 6+), teenagers and adult learners! Whether your child is discovering music for the very first time or you’re an adult looking to pick up a new hobby or return to the piano, lessons are customised to your individual learning pace.

The trial lesson (£10) is a relaxed, fun, and hands-on introduction! It gives us a chance to get comfortable at the instrument, explore simple keys, rhythm, and melodies, and discuss your or your child’s musical goals. It's also a great way to see if my teaching style is a good fit before committing to regular weekly slots.
-
All lessons take place in a welcoming, quiet, and well-equipped home studio environment in Hawksworth, Leeds (LS5), designed to help students feel comfortable, focused and inspired.
-
Yes! If a student or parent wishes to work toward graded exams (such as ABRSM or Trinity), I offer structured exam preparation. However, exams are entirely optional—many students choose to learn purely for fun, confidence, and personal enjoyment!
-
Standard weekly lessons are 30 minutes, which is ideal for children and beginners. Longer 45-minute or 60-minute sessions are also available for older or more advanced students.
-
Following your initial £10 trial lesson, regular tuition is paid in monthly blocks in advance. Invoices are sent directly to your email and can be paid easily via bank transfer. Please refer to the LNA Music Studio Policy for full details.

If you need to reschedule or miss a lesson, please give at least 24 hours' notice. For full details regarding missed lessons, holidays, and studio guidelines, please refer to the LNA Music Studio Policy.
