I am a passionate music educator and the founder of LNA Music Studio. With 6 years of experience as a fully qualified school teacher (QTS), I specialise in the art of teaching beginners of all ages. With my background, I know exactly how to guide beginners step-by-step without it ever feeling overwhelming. I love breaking down complex musical ideas into clear, manageable, bite-sized pieces, making sure every lesson feels motivating, rewarding, and fun, no matter your age.
I believe a student's first steps on the piano set the tone for their entire musical future. My studio focuses on building a warm, encouraging environment where technique, music theory, and expression are layered together naturally through engaging resources, games and beautifully structured modern method books.

Lessons are taught on a full-size, weighted digital piano. This offers the authentic touch and feel of a traditional piano, while providing a modern, adaptable learning experience. For young beginners and adults alike, a digital piano allows us to easily explore different acoustic sounds, practice with rhythm guides and learn in a highly interactive, engaging way.
Do I need a piano at home to start?
Not at all! To begin your musical journey, all you need at home is a basic electronic keyboard so you can practice your weekly patterns. As you progress through the early grades, I can help advise you on upgrading to a weighted digital piano when the time is right.
Woodwind Instruments (Clarinet, Saxophone, Flute and Recorder)
Lessons are taught using high-quality student and intermediate woodwind instruments to ensure clear tone and ease of play. Whether learning the light agility of the flute, the warm depth of the clarinet, the vibrant energy of the saxophone, or the sweet precision of the recorder, we focus on developing a rich, resonant sound and healthy embouchure technique from your very first session.
Do I need my own woodwind instrument at home to start?
Yes, having access to an instrument at home is essential so you can practice your weekly pieces and skills between lessons! If you don't own one yet, don't worry—you don't need to buy an expensive instrument right away. Affordable student models, secondhand instruments, or local monthly rental schemes are fantastic ways to get started. I am always happy to offer advice and recommendations on the best budget-friendly options to buy or rent before your first lesson!
